The Mark 3 Valve-Tronic^TM Flo-Meter^TM

The Valve-Tronic 3.5 Flo-Meter is a microprocessor based motorized valve specifically designed to control gas flow through a Waukee Flo-Meter "for the most critical heat treating applications." The Valve-Tronic 3.5 offers features which allow it to be integrated with furnace control equipment to provide completely automatic flow control and flow rate feedback. The Valve-Tronic 3.5 Flo-Meter can function as a stand-alone Flow Controller or can be integrated with your control system to provide remote control and flow rate feedback.

The Valve-Tronic 3.5 Flo-Meter accepts 4-20mA "flow control signal" from PLC's, computers, carbon controllers and other process control instruments. The flow signal is compared to the Waukee-Tronic's signal and the Valve-Tronic's valve adjusts to precisely control the gas flow.

The Waukee Flo-Meter is a precision instrument for the indication of rates of flow of air and industrial gasses. Acclaimed by engineers for many convenient and exclusive features never before available in flow measurement devices, Waukee Flo-Meters are supplied in a wide range of sizes for most gases, with capacities from 5 to 40,000 SCFH based on standard conditions of atmospheric pressure, and 70F. They can be easily panel mounted for convenience.
 

Accuracy:

The accuracy of the Waukee Flo-Meter is built-in by the individual calibration of each meter for the specific gas, pressure, temperature and rate of flow required. Every Waukee Flo-Meter is calibrated to within +/- 3.50% of actual flow reading.


Calibration (N.I.S.T. Traceability):

Upon request, a 10 point Calibration Curve can be provided with a Waukee Flo-Meter that is traceable to the National Industry of Standards and Technology.

The Waukee-Tronic^TMFlo-Meter^TM

The Waukee-Tronic Flo-Meter is a Waukee Flo-Meter, the Heat Treater's favorite, with a built in electronic package. The Waukee-Tronic Flo-Meter provides visual flow indication just like a standard Waukee Flo-Meter plus a 4-20 mA current output that is linearly proportional to flow rate.

Examples

Data from a Waukee-Tronic indicated a leak within the natural gas system.
A chart recording of Waukee-Tronic indicated an increased flow requirement for natural gas to maintain a carbon level. A check showed that an Endothermic gas generator was not working properly.

 The Waukee Flo-Alarm^TM

The Waukee Flo-Alarm can give you 24-hour supervision and signal you of too low a flow of hydrogen, dissociated ammonia, carrier, natural, or other gases to furnaces. They can also be used to detect and signal excess flow in processes using costly gases such as argon or helium.
The Waukee Flo-Alarm operates as an attachment to the standard Waukee Flo-Meter.

The Waukee Flow Totalizer

The Waukee Flow Totalizer is comprised of a 4-1/2 digit, programmable process meter. The meter is easily programmed for any flow scale and offers a variety of display formats, reset, alarm and output options.

The Totalizer can display instantaneous flow rate and totalized flow.

The unit may be panel mounted and is supplied by Waukee pre-programmed for the customer's flow rate specification.

The unit is supplied for 120 VAC or 24 VDC power

The Waukee Flow Totalizer is sold as an attachment to a Waukee-Tronic or Valve-Tronic Flo-Meter.
